Approval does not imply acceptance by any regulatory authority or AGD endorsement
10/01/2020 to 09/30/2021 Provider ID# 400362

  • What is AGD PACE approval?

This is a recognition by the Academy of General Dentistry for Continuing Education Credits. This means you may submit any CE credits earned to your licensing body for approval. In many countries, a number of Continuing Education Credits are required for licence renewal. There may be a limit on the number of on-line credits submitted, although live on-line webinars fall under the category of live courses and not self-learning.

  • Who may register for the course?

This course is open to general dentists and orthodontic specialists. Invisalign certification is encouraged, but not necessary. Although all clinical cases presented in the course are treated with Invisalign® clear aligners, many of the principles of tooth movement discussed, like diagnosis, treatment planning, biomechanics and anchorage ,will be applicable to orthodontics in general and may also apply to treating patients with other aligner systems.

  • How long is this course?

This course is 3 months or 12 weeks long. Each week, a 2 hour video lecture will be released. Every 4 weeks, there will be a double session with a 2 hour video lecture, as well as a 2 hour live Zoom lesson where Dr Tai will review actual clinical cases submitted by the doctors themselves for case discussion.

  • How do I ask questions during each module?

You can post discussion questions within the course learning platform where those who are also taking the course can respond in a public forum. If you'd like to ask a private question, you can e-mail Dr. Sandra Tai a personal e-mail.

  • How do I get CE credits?

At the end of each module, there will be a 5 question quiz based on the learning outcomes of each module. You are required to answer 3/5 questions correctly to move on to the next module. If you have insufficient correct answers, watch the video lecture again and you may attempt the quiz multiple times until the required number of correct answers is achieved. Upon completion of the 3 month course, you will be emailed a PDF certificate certifying successful completion of the course. You may then use the certificate to apply for CE credits with your dental licensing authority.

  • What if I do not get to view the videos on time when they are released?

Although the modules are released over a 12 week timeline, you may take as long as you like to complete the entire course. You may go back and view previous videos for one year from the start date of your course. For example, if you started Module 1 on January 15, 2021, you will be able to view all the modules in the course until January 14, 2022.
